The data shows that it was actually mostly market buys. There were liqs but OI dropped only after the top (even on multi-exchange aggregate) and the portion of the volume on the way up that was liqs is pretty small (on Binance YFI/USDT Perp which is the biggest future for this)pic.twitter.com/4QsnX1jK3O
That's also because the OI updates lag on Binance. Also, notice the perp-spot basis that starts developing around 13.5k. Yeah, it was probably a bunch of factors.
