My thoughts exactly. A whale is trying to crash the market but getting massive wicked closes over and over. Likely trying to capitalize before options expire
Eh, I wouldn't get too convoluted about this. Could just be someone hedging their options play. Also, market manipulation via deribit swaps ain't the way to market manipulate.

Is Deribit as liquid as Bybit or mex? If not i can't imagine why you would sell 12 Mill at market. I haven't even heard of Deribit until today lol

Nowhere near as liquid, but still an important exchange in this space due to their options dominance. When the total OI on the swaps is $90m a $12m order is going to go quite some damage to the books.
