day trading is much more profitable and much more risky.With day trading your psychology becomes a major part of your trading system. Some can handle it. most cant.
You're looking at compounding only to the upside. Losses compound too. Especially given the trade frequency is much higher. A swing trader with a 5 trade loss streak (@ 1% risk per trade) won't be as psychologically affected as a day trader with the same loss streak.

Really? Why? A day trader can just take a break for a day and come back and do it again tomorrow. A 5 streak loss should happen all the time probalistically, especially since day trading has way lower strike rates.

A swing trader has to wait for setups for a long time. A 5 loss streak means they have been losing money for maybe a month or something. It's way harder to deal with that

Self-control is the biggest factor You have to be absolutely marine-like with discipline day trading - one lazy ass trade and things can spiral Try new things for sure Ultimately you have to bring it back to Entry/Exit/Stop though, and not stray from your rules
