Does anyone know what happened to people who had short positions open during the outage on @BitMEXdotcom ? They had no ability to manage the positions... exchange opens and price is magically 40% higher. Were these people simply told to get fucked? Or did Mex do the right thing?
Had a short open from high 7ks. During the downtime, it intermittently allowed you to click the market close button for a second or so. Smashed it 5-6 times over the entire course, to no avail. Eventually had to cover once it reopened in the high 4ks.

I had switched back to watch it on TV for a few minutes and noticed the TV chart was frozen. When I went back to Mex it was fucked. Parts of the interface were missing, I couldn't access anything for probably a solid half hour or more.

Yeah, I've always championed Mex on their screw ups. Yesterday, however left a sour taste in my mouth.
