Despite all your apparently altruistic intentions, speaking in absolutes such as "it would be unwise to ignore a bear flag" only does more harm than good. It breeds a notion of bear flags having a 100% strike rate, which is far from the truth. "Barts" are in fact equally common.

Fair enough but going to the extent of commenting on another traders post (who has stated on multiple occasions he doesn't trade classical patterns) connotes that a bear flag is some rare occurrence that shouldn't be faded, which is what most of the qualms are about.

I appreciate your response, and enjoy your work. I guess I just fall back to my original statement that it is unwise to ignore these patterns, and have been presented little to no evidence to the contrary. I enjoy the debate and discussion regardless, cheers.

The logical conclusion of your original statement, especially once you expounded it yourself, is absurd Nobody HAS to pay attention/trade/incorporate *anything* You may find solace in playing the reasonable victim but your argument is both fallacious and extreme Good day

I reject the basic concept that there needs to be a victim and a winner, that attitude itself is problematic. Further, I have yet to be presented w/ even a modicum of evidence despite the apparent zeal behind your disagreement with my thesis, and tire of this back and forth.

Nonsense! The burden of proof rests on YOU to demonstrate that a trader MUST pay attention to [arbitrarily-chosen tool]. You have not satisfied that burden; for it is absurd both logically and empirically. If you are unwilling to see that, there's no point in this discussion.
