Wish great respect to you sir - are you saying my comment was out of place, specifically that one should not ignore classic chart patterns? if that is the case I strongly and respectfully disagree

With greatest respect, bruv It’s “unwise” to suggest that people ought to a priori incorporate or give credence to any sort of tool just because you use it yourself, you doughnut
I don’t use classical patterns either; am I mug?

I have a plethora of evidence to suggest you are not a “mug” ie: your body of work. Not withstanding, I fully stand by my original thesis that it is unwise to ignore classic chart patterns, and remain unconvinced otherwise

By the way I will not take the bait and insult you back -(I count 2, melon and doughnut). Both happen to be delicious so no offense taken. If you assign me a food item on the next response, can I be pizza?

Likewise; just if you’re trying to teach people how to trade it’s best to avoid absolutes (such as, for example, it’s unwise to trade without paying attention to chart patterns even if you’ve been profitable for years)! Discretion and being selective form edges; not textbooks

My last response - I take what you are saying at face value - My perspective is to teach and engage in the exchange of ideas/debates with the truths that I hold most strongly, coming from a desire to help others avoid getting rekt

Despite all your apparently altruistic intentions, speaking in absolutes such as "it would be unwise to ignore a bear flag" only does more harm than good. It breeds a notion of bear flags having a 100% strike rate, which is far from the truth. "Barts" are in fact equally common.

With respect you are presenting a straw-man argument. I did not infer even remotely 100% accuracy, I stated that it is unwise to ignore classic chart patterns (they add value/information on the psychology, strength of trend and position in channel) also, "bart"is tower top/bottompic.twitter.com/1serIg1rvX

Fair enough but going to the extent of commenting on another traders post (who has stated on multiple occasions he doesn't trade classical patterns) connotes that a bear flag is some rare occurrence that shouldn't be faded, which is what most of the qualms are about.

I appreciate your response, and enjoy your work. I guess I just fall back to my original statement that it is unwise to ignore these patterns, and have been presented little to no evidence to the contrary. I enjoy the debate and discussion regardless, cheers.

The logical conclusion of your original statement, especially once you expounded it yourself, is absurd Nobody HAS to pay attention/trade/incorporate *anything* You may find solace in playing the reasonable victim but your argument is both fallacious and extreme Good day
