The U.S. Senate violates the principle of 1 person, 1 vote & dilutes the voting power of people of color. We need a constitutional amendment to abolish the U.S. Senate. A unicameral (single chamber) legislature works.

We need proportional representation in Congress and instant-runoff voting for president so the president is elected by a majority in a national popular vote.

Make the Senate more proportionate. 1 senator for small states, 2-3 for medium, 4 or 5 for states like California, Florida, Texas, NY, IL.

We can gain proportional representation by splitting the most populated states. Also by incentivizing the immigration of people from more populated states to less populated states.

A Universal Basic Income plus serious broadband infrastructure would enable that neatly.

One person one vote has never in the history of the country been a principle that the constitution cares about, and it never should be. Our system of government was built as moderation on Democratic tyranny, and only tyrants would oppose it.
