Howie I've got to strong disagree with you on this one. Especially with recent advancements in nuclear technology It's one of our best bets to get long-term sustainable energy. It's both reliable and safe.

Not with you on this one. Nuclear power, if nationalized and put under extreme scrutiny, can be highly efficient in both regards. And even if we shut down all reactors, we still need to find research into storage or processing of spent fuel.

This is almost a deal breaker for me. I like you on everything else, but the whole climate plan falls apart without nuclear. We need to leave fossil fuels now and renewable just isn't there yet. Without nuclear, we cannot leave fossil fuels.

Let’s stop the expansion, because there’s no way to dismantle a nuclear power plant safely and securely during the times of Climate Change. I think Nationalization of the Nuclear power industry and moving to Thorium would help. If needed.

My father was chief engineer of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. and considered the smartest man in electronics in his time. We got contaminated at his workplace, 3 years later my father was dead at 58 years old. I've never met a smarter man but they sacrificed him for the nukes.
