What if we publicly owned them, subsidized them somewhat to redistribute some of the cost, and set rates at the remaining cost? If you want to argue against it on waste alone, I'll listen. But profitability should not be a requirement for reducing CO2 dependence.

it's not about profitability, it's about cost to the public vs value; more importantly the risks when something goes wrong are unacceptably high.

Howie, I’m not with you on this one. Nuclear power is one of the safest, most efficient, and cleanest ways to produce energy. It is far more effective than wind or solar. Please consider changing your stance on this. Nuclear is our only way out imo
