The level of climate action is amazing whenever Greens get voted into national government. In the US, can't even get many of the big climate groups to allow the Green Party to speak at events - let alone endorse them. It's definitely worthwhile to note when positive action on climate issues happens, but from a broader strategic perspective, I don't think it's a good idea to be praising when Greens and/or socialist/left parties go into government, especially like what's happening in Ireland

If Greens hadn't gone into government with the center-right, and forced another election during a pandemic, would there be a better result that would lead to a coalition of the left? Impossible to know, which is probably why Irish Greens decided not to risk it.

Strange that they didn't help Sinn Fein form a government but instead allied with the rightwing parties. They are just the Renewable Energy party, having apparently abandoned the people and even the environment.
