I really hope the @GreenPartyUS is able to stick to its values of putting the greater good first, rather than allowing party purists to anoint Hawkins, who is the most unexciting candidate the GP has offered the US in many elections. @GovJVentura can actually compete.https://twitter.com/people4jesse/status/1273077037293375488 …

@HowieHawkins I totally support your right to run for office, but brother, you know as well as I do that you aren't even going to do as well as@DrJillStein did (who was a wonderful candidate).@GovJVentura has a very real chance of getting the party federal funding.3 réponses 1 Retweet 15 j'aimeAfficher cette discussion -
@HowieHawkins you are supposedly working toward the greater good, so I ask you with deep respect (I know who you are) to please step down. The greater good, hands down, is a Jesse Ventura candidacy.1 réponse 1 Retweet 15 j'aimeAfficher cette discussion -

This makes me respect you a little less, as it is clear the attention of a Ventura campaign is the greater good, which is what you are supposed to be trying to achieve. No Green campaign should be about ego, about the individual.

The basic issue here is that the GP is about grassroots democracy. Doing as you suggest means undemocratically erasing the votes cast by Greens all over the country. That's one of

Howie, with all due respect, you did say you would step aside for Bernie on
@Lauren_Steiner 's show. Why is this different?3 réponses 0 Retweet 2 j'aime
No, Howie offered dialog and invited him to become a Green. Material difference.
