Howie, if Universal Basic Income is not given to everyone, yes the wealthy too, it’s not universal. Give it to all to simplify everything & stop resentment! No to negative income tax too, it’s too complex!

“Universal” can be interpreted different ways. If anyone below poverty received a NIT to bring them over, everyone would have a basic income. Some through work, some through NIT. It’s an income from different sources, but because everyone has one, it is still “universal”.
