Giving it to Jesse and tossing out the votes of Green primary voters who already cast their ballots would be rigging the election. If Ventura was serious about running the time to start was before people vote, not after.

Well said, Eric.

Problem is Howie, with all due respect, you'll never get close to the amount of votes of a potential Ventura candidacy. He has real cross-political appeal with both policy and messaging. You're a good guy, but you'll inevitably lead a campaign that preaches to the choir. /1

You can harp on purity of process, but anyone with previous Green experience (such as myself) knows that the entire national party is a dysfunctional mess, devoid of any substantive leadership since the Nader run in '00. /2

Ventura's still not getting in, Lmao, he decided not to run. He was a meme candidate anyways, Howie is a real candidate not a celebrity sideshow act. We aren't the party of X person we're the party of Ecosocialism.

1) Well, FIRSTLY Ventura has more executive experience than anyone Greens have ever had run on their ticket. Secondly, our country is led by a meme President, and these are most definitely meme times, which is the reason why a Ventura candidacy actually makes great sense.

2) That being said, if he wishes not to run, that's entirely his business. I support the platform of the Green Party, and I like Howie (have followed him since his Governor race in 2010). But, at the end of the day, policies alone are not enough. People long for a true persona.

3) Right or wrong, that's just how it is. And I worry that this party is unwilling to back away from its extreme-left branding to become a more broad-coalition, workers' party, which is what needs to occur for any real chance of electability.

We don't need this Biden-esque electability argument, Neither do we need left of center politics, it's time for people to realize that we aren't living in a country where Social Democracy is needed we need Ecosocialism.

I agree with and support the policies. Don't sacrifice the policies. I'm just saying the party as a whole needs to find an improved way of framing their messaging to attract the interest of the wider US population. That's all. And I hope they do. We need a viable alternative.

Purity of process = democracy. We will not disenfranchise any Green voter. Yes, we stand by that purity.
