I think workers owning their companies would change things dramatically. People would put people before profits because that would already be the mindset. Like the Mondrian collective in Spain.

I don't think we want to rush into a complete socialist system. Some firms and some industries are better geared for employee owned than others. A good place to start is rewriting corporate laws and governance so that employees are adequately represented on boards.
