Right now the qualification thresholds the Commission is considering are too high. As noted in our letter the @FairElectionsNY campaign sent yesterday to all commissioners. We want any candidate with a strong grassroots base to be able show they have support and run!
Fairness in threshold requirements is a great point. So far the proposals pushed by Citizen Action do not meet that test. Democracy is not limited to candidates running in the corporate parties.
