I guess people could point to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Israel, and to a lesser extent, Latin America, the Caribbean nations, and South Africa and say that America isn’t the only one guilty on this count. This is whataboutism, of course, but that’s what Americans would say.
America was founded on genocide, and that this is a controversial claim shows how little things have changed.
