A carbon tax would make it even more difficult for poor people to afford a car and/or get around. Don't consider imposing such a tax without adequate alternative transportation that extends to rural areas.

One, our carbon tax proposal would provide a major rebate to low-income people. Two, we need to fund mass transit (buses) statewide. Yes I know our bus system is a joke - but if third world countries can make buses work including in rural areas, so can we.
