Dear Journalists. Instead of whining that you’re banned/not invited/not welcome to Downing Street like a bunch of teenagers with angst I’ve got a better idea. DO YOUR FUCKING JOB AND HOLD THESE FUCKING CRIMINALS TO ACCOUNT LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE FOR THE LAST FUCKING DECADE.

Government attacks impartial civil service and diplomats - media: yay! Government attacks independent judiciary and lawyers who take on government - media: yay! Government attacks free press - media: what, we did not see that coming

We’ll get the deal the EU gives us. We’ll get the deal the US gives us. Don’t want those deals? Fine: we can choose nothing but the basic WTO terms instead. That’s what sovereignty means outside the EU: freedom to grab the worst option and wave it about in triumph.

November 2019: The Tories announce £34bn public spending increases per year. December 2019: The Tories won the Election. January 2020: The Tories announce £43bn public spending cuts per year. Never trust the Tories.

‘EU reneges on deal’ turns out to mean ‘EU maintains its longstanding position to which the UK agreed in the Political Declaration’. Not quite the same thing.

This ‘Remainers are to blame for not compromising’ BS can fuck right off. At NO point was compromise offered. Red lines were stamped down, ERG humoured. This dishonest rewriting of history in front of those who paid attention is yet another stumbling block to any kind of healing.

An analogy for anyone claiming "nothing has changed" even though we have left the EU... Last night we jumped out of a plane without a parachute. The fall (=transition period) will take 11 months. After that, strawberry jam splat on the ground unless we do something to stop it.

The UK is like a middle-aged man, who left his wife and kids because he thought twenty-somethings on Tinder would fancy him, and now finds himself living in a bedsit, all alone, trying to convince the world that he made the right decision.

Despite the prejudice my parents faced 50 yrs ago, they told me British values included fair play, law & order, appreciation of the arts, good sense of humour & compassion. I've tried to live by these virtues. I hope even more Brits step up & express those now more than ever.

A reminder: it wasn’t just London that voted Remain, it was Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Northern Ireland, Scotland.

Never forget that the UK is leaving the worlds biggest trading bloc and peace project because Bob and Sue don’t like hearing foreign accents in their local Waitrose.

People are literally starving to death with their benefits stopped. People are living on the streets. NHS waiting lists rocketing, ops cancelled, A&E crashing. Foodbanks thriving. But let's spend £88bn on HS2 to get to London 15mins earlier A govt of lunatics voted in by idiots

So sad to be waving goodbye to my children’s EU citizenship. Here’s hoping they get that elusive something that nobody has yet identified in return... 😢

To Leavers - I've accepted we're leaving the EU; I'll survive what might come better than many. Now deliver the promises, but have the balls to accept responsibility if they don't appear and don't blame anyone else. If its a roaring success I'll gladly say I was wrong.

This country has made the most terrible mistake. Future generations simply won’t believe how we turned our back on our friends.
