Martin Luther King, Jr. was born #OTD in 1929. From the pulpit to the pavement, Dr. King joined with countless others to use non-violent resistance to change an unjust system. A hero of the Civil Rights Movement, his inspiring legacy is recognized at the MLK Memorial.
A wreath of flowers on a wooden frame stands at the base of a large white stone statue of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior in the open plaza of an outdoor memorial.
