All knowing Allah forget to mention Jerusalem at all in the final revelation to mankind, quite an omission for a diety to make. If their connection to Jerusalem is not dictated by Allah, it is rather a misapprehension

To be honest all you have to do is see how they treated Jerusalem while they had it (Ottomans and Jordan).

Unfortunately, no matter how much Hollywood raises for the IDF, Israel isn't going to be considered a real country until it defines its polity & territory, signs on to a few nuclear weapons treaties and hopefully sign on to the Geneva Convention like the rest of the human family.
