Hey everyone -- I have some personal/professional news to share, if you don't mind indulging me in a small thread! I have so many wonderful, sad, excited, bittersweet feelings about this! This is my last month at @GIBiz. My last day is the 25th.

I am going to get massively sappy later in the month and probably say some lovely things about everyone there and how good they've been to me, but to be short for now: I have loved it, so much. But also: I have an amazing opportunity ahead. And it's time.

I'd also like to mention that this has also marked the end of my freelancing for @iMore and @androidcentral! I was doing guides for them for the last three years and I'm super grateful to folks like @velocciraptor @rrspear @Appaholik and @russellholly for that opportunity.

I'm starting work @IGN on February 1 as a news reporter!!! I am, blown away, by this. This is the wildest thing to have happened. I am so excited. I have been losing my mind daily since they offered it to me. I am still screaming to myself regularly.

If you've loved my business reporting up to this point, don't worry: though I won't be quite the same degree of in the weeds as I was before, I want to keep doing in-depth industry reporting with a business bent. I'm just tailoring it for a different audience now. :)

Anyway. Thank you to everyone who has uplifted me and supported me over the years. I am going to do my best to keep getting better and better at this, and I cannot wait to get started with this new team. IGN is incredible and it's an honor to join them. :)
