and that's the thing about recruit - when it's a mana saver or at least comes as part of a useful package deal, it's somewhere between good to really good. when it's not, it's rarely worth playing over any other minion. it's only good if it's OP
That’s because Control lock and cubelock do two different things/have different matchups etc. Baku rogue and even paladin are sort of just stronger versions of their respective counterparts

That's not true, there's literally no reason why any 'redundancy' that exists wouldn't apply to that warlock pair with equal strength. The truth is that Keleseth rogue and Aggro pally wouldn't see play *regardless* of how strong other decks within the same class are.

The redundancy doesn’t exist for warlock because they beat different things? Something like Odd rogue just does what Tempo Rogue aims to do in the meta better which is why there really isn’t a reason to run Tempo over Odd right now.
