Quick google search shows that there are 8 cases of coronavirus reported in California but none in Indonesia. I don't mean to bash on Hearthstone Esports people who are doing their best for the players but this is puzzling.

I read the article. Did you? Model that suggests around 5 undetected cases does not take into account the effect on climates on potential outbreak.

Yes, but I do think it's fair for Blizzard to be sceptical and err on the side of caution with this. I don't think the way they changed the MT was good, but the decision to change it was correct.
