I think the idea is that people fleeing with children can be driving quite the distance so these are provincial alerts. I think it's a small price to pay to protect the children but yeah, I keep my phone on my bed when I sleep because it's an alarm and this one nearly killed me.

Yeah I’m perfectly fine with getting amber alerts. I just think there should be a setting to say that between the hours I’m sleeping it shouldn’t create an alarm. I’m not going to go out and look for the missing kid in the middle of sleeping.
