#MastersTourVegas thoughts:
• GMs prove they’re GMs for a reason
• non-GMs show why system should be more open
• Has someone as popular as Dog won an open like this?
• @Battlefy pls fix
• Specialist has potential
• Don’t gamble kids -.-
Overall very happy :) Cya at Seoul!

I don't see the potential of Specialist. It's boring to watch and to play. This format has to go.

Outside of the already known benefits of having a single-deck format, the main thing that I recognize is that Specialist rewards preparation and proper meta reads better than Conquest. We see "unplayable" cards get time in the sun which make it exciting.

Conquest is about refined ladder decks which discourages tech card innovation. Dominant strategy was to play "good decks" and hope your 4th deck gets through. Specialist pushes you to think about what to do bring, what will others bring, and how to beat it with your 2nd/3rd deck

Conquest punishes you for taking risks. Specialist allows you to take more risks which is more fun imo. Lastly, Conquest is a format that scales poorly for Best of 3. Queue order RPS isn't fun & tournament length is a real issue. Ideally, these HS events can scale to 1000+ ppl.

That said, there is plenty of merit to Conquest. I think its the ideal Best of 5 format in HS because you can still target lineups, have diversity from series-to-series, and bans don't ruin the fun. I also think Specialist needs more tweaks. I'm not sold on its current iteration

What tweaks do you think Specialist should have?
Het laden lijkt wat langer te duren.
