They can't push that angle because the winner doesn't make it into Grandmasters. They swapped out points for money but they're both essentially the same as far as HS esports progression goes for an individual. You also have the issue of Grandmasters being in the tournament...
So if a Grandmaster wins the tournament then they just made a lot of money?
