Playing Artifact and now MtGA made me realise why I love HS so much: it's complex enough to be interesting, but at the same time simple enough that I'm able to take into consideration all possible factors when deciding on what to do and be relatively confident with my play. 1/x

When playing Artifact, there were so many factors to consider. so many RNG elements (items in shops for my opponent next turn, random creep placement, random arrows) that there was no way to ever be sure a play was *the best* play. It was always like "I guess this is good". 2/x

MtGA gives me a similar vibe, albeit to a *much* lesser extent, and it might be mostly because I am a n00b. Still, the larger decks, the multiple phases, the fact that your opponent can counter on your turn, it all makes for a much "messier" experience. 3/x

Note that I'm not saying this is inherently better or worse. Playing other games just allowed to realise just how streamlined Hearthstone is, and I personally appreciate that a lot. 4/4

I’ve always found MTGA to be overwhelming when I play it. I’m not sure if Hearthstone never felt that way to me because I started playing HS very early
