I do think the best course of action, in the short term, is to ban Elysiana but it doesn’t fix the fundamental issues of the open cups. Maybe forcing a round timer fixes the length issues, maybe changing it from Swiss to single elim would fix the length issue.
I do think that Blizzard should have 2 tiers of open cups: 1 to qualify for Vegas (or wherever the other LANs are going to be held) 2 with only pack rewards to cater to newer players/those who don’t care about Vegas.
Totally agree with your last point. Banning Elysia kinda solves the lenght problem but it's a HUGE deal meta wise, as it is the win condition of so many decks.
