It depends how cheap making decks are right? Like Valve can always dictate how the marketplace behaves. But I don’t think this game is going to be as cheap as some people believe. For someone like you that spent a billion dollars at boomsday launch Artifact is going to be cheaper

The only way this ends up being cheaper is if the game bombs and no one plays it. Though given the design decisions they’re making, that could happen.
Having played other games with marketplaces like this the cost of the game really comes down to how well you can work the marketplace. Pokémon Tcg online is cheaper than hearthstone for me and that has a worse marketplace than Artifact has set up imo

Yeah, but Pokémon is a game with twenty years of balancing. Every card game ends up printing must have broken cards in the first few sets. Black Lotus, Dr Boom, etc. Those will make decks really expensive. Also, I’m really curious how nerfs will work with a marketplace.

Pokémon is weird because their Black Lotus card was printed a couple years ago. I am curious now if the devs will be more reluctant to nerf cards because of the effect it has on the market place
