Back in my days we marked every single mob in every trash pack. Dungeons required some serious coordination. Also: "Wait for 5 sunders!"
@HistoryCrafting Extension to this: Originally there were no raid icons so we marked stuff with spells like Hunter's Mark and Detect Magic.
