Anti-vaxxers: “Vaccines only work some of the time. Would you use a seatbelt if it didn’t always work?!?” Of course not. If seatbelts aren’t perfect, the child should be placed on the roof of the car. Backwards if they are little. 🙄🤦‍♂️ #SeatbeltsHelp #SoDoVaccineshttps://twitter.com/TransWoman3/status/1189928446534639616 …

Would you use a seatbelt if it was ~50-90% ineffective? Would you trust your children with that seatbelt? Would you insist that everyone else use that seatbelt, to keep you safe?

Vaxxers: “My seatbelt failed! Someone must have put their kid on the roof of their car backwards!!” Also vaxxers: “Hmm, that kid’s parents put them on the roof of their car backwards, instead of buckling them up. Good thing I’m wearing my seatbelt, so that kid is safe!!”

Seatbelts reduce the risk of dying by 45% and of serious injury by 50%. https://www.cdc.gov/motorvehiclesafety/seatbeltbrief/index.html …

Just 50%?! Hmm not sure if that’s worth it for how infrequently I’m in accidents. Ah who am I kidding, I’m so conditioned that I feel weird not buckling up!

Pardon me.. but I believe you got it all wrong. Let me correct you, vaccines don’t work at all. You’re welcome. Have a nice day.

Seat-belts not only don't work all of the time but they even sometimes cause injury and death. That still doesn't make using a seat-belt a bad idea. Not to mention that vaccines are statistically much safer than seat-belts.
