2/n Naturopaths, the following organs are self-cleaning, & do not require a ‘cleanse’ to eliminate ‘toxins’: - the liver - the thyroid - the adrenals - everything not called skin, hair, nails, or teeth ‘Cleansing’ does not make someone more healthy, or ‘supercharge’ health!

3/n Naturopaths, if a patient has been exposed to a real toxin (...not one you just invented), the main treatment is to remove them from further exposure, & not: - a juice ‘cleanse’ - a water ‘cleanse’ - an herb ‘cleanse’ - some other made-up ‘cleanse’ Real toxins are serious!

4/n Here is the correct approach to a patient who has actually been exposed to a toxin naturopaths: 1- send them immediately to an MD 2- done Excellent work

5/n PS naturopaths - Chelation therapy has serious risks, & very specific indications. ‘Because it sounds cool’ is not one of them!

You could remove the whole "liver" part out of this. If you don't have a functional liver, the solution, if you aren't dead yet is to get one. If not, you're dead.

None of them can tell me what 'detox tea' will save someone who accidentally injested a lethal amount of tetrodotoxin from incorrectly prepared fugu.

If the pathways in the liver become overloaded with toxins, the risk is that toxins will build up faster than the liver can 'self clean itself.' When we detoxify and cleanse the body of toxins, we give the body a chance to repair and strengthen itself.
-
If your liver gets overloaded, toxins begin circulating in your blood and, besides making you feel tired and sluggish, those toxins can damage your organs and glands, cause increased inflammation in your body, cause headaches, cause weight gain, and poor health continues.
