Every day that we fail to act on gun violence, we are failing our children. This should be a day for soul searching across America - and that soul searching should be matched with legislating to begin dealing with this national shame.

President Clinton banned assault rifles slick. He was the one that instituted background checks. Obama followed suit but the GOP would not comply. And the one background check that they did put through Donald Trump reversed. You're living in an alternate reality. Obviously

Oh and one more thing Obama and the democrates controlled all 3 branches for 2 years yet still nothing happened to change the killing of children in school. Why don't we come together and find a way to protect these kids (metal detectors armed guards etc..)

I’m all for comprehensive background checks & the automatic weapons ban. But those measures do nothing to prevent most of the violence in our country, including today in TX. What’s the answer? What brings someone to murder people for no reason & how do you legislate it away?

Outlaw explosive ammunition, large magazines, make Closet in classrooms into safe rooms. Use new technology available making it impossible for only the owner to shoot the gun. I would also like to see dogs capable of sniffing out drugs and gunpowder Etc. Non-invasive to students.
