    Nonprofits could lead the way to wages that free people from fear. If every funding conversation noted "We will no longer perpetuate INSIDE our org the conditions we seek to change in the world," things would change fast.

    So this happened while I was teaching a workshop in Singapore via Zoom. When people say my work is "groundbreaking" and that our classes "shook their world" I had no idea they mean it literally!!! (Humming Carole King's "I Feel the Earth Move...")

    Really, ? This is exactly why change DOESN'T happen - cow-towing to the needs of donors. “When fundraisers approach donors with the idea that they’re going to help the donor do what the donor wants to do, that’s what works.”

    Please stop encouraging people to "turn your hobby into cash." That's called "work." A hobby is what we do to get AWAY from work! Hobbies are about joy and flow and fun and passion. Just pay people a living wage and let us enjoy our hobbies in peace.

    Proctor & Gamble (which sells Charmin, Pampers, Old Spice, etc) rose prices like everyone else. Its profit grew 9% to $4.2 billion just for the last quarter. We do not have just an inflation problem. We have a record-corporate-profits problem.

    It's not just the programs of that determine results. Functions like accounting, human resources & marketing all come from sources of power & privilege (bsns, military). To create meaningful change will require rethinking all of it.
