Exactly. I don’t see what’s new about this guidance. It sure doesn’t seem like the huge shift people are calling it. Seems like we’re splitting hairs unless control measures are changed.https://twitter.com/SaskiaPopescu/status/1307802198546423809 …

This has always been the infuriating part of constant messages to mask up. Individuals are increasingly in situations with others and cannot control what those others do. It takes clear guidance and uniform policy to keep everyone as safe as possible. Not as simple as “
#MaskUp.”Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

My work site management is very rule-oriented and only an appeal to official recommendations or standards will persuade them. We would have returned to work in June in Arizona had I not been able to point to a specific state recommendation; the epidemic had not yet subsided.

ALL OF THE ABOVE. I am closely following our local school district's plans and am on a parent advisory committee. I've been pushing and asking about ventilation issues for 3 months. It's like shouting down a well. They won't do anything without health dept guidance.

I have threatened to whistleblow any unsafe policies at work. I don't know if you're in a state where they take these reports, or would feel comfortable reporting to OSHA or even saying that to your employers. I'm not, but I did because it's not a simple flu.

There’s no whistle to blow if there are no standards and at my workplace they really do try to do the right thing; the recommendation from the state was a ‘should’ not a ‘shall’ which was a big part of Arizona’s problem - the laissez-faire pandemic response.
