Absolutely. One simple fact that I would like to bring into the discussion is that: PFOF lower the entry-barrier for non-dominant market making firm (think about a 2nd tier market making firms). Therefore, it increases the competition, and competition is good for the investors.

There are some of us who know quite a bit and have opinions without bias, but admittedly, not many. Only those who left the industry or are paid to be unbiased by subscribers on all sides of the issues… Even then, biases formed while active in the industry can impact views.

The anger, frankly, is ABSURD. If one wants to find an issue to get angry about, look no further than the spot Bitcoin ETF “decision” or the constant delay in letting BDs offer crypto spot to clients. Both cost investors MULTIPLES of what we constantly bicker about in equities.
