A few replies seemed surprised at the comp here for being high. This can be a pretty miserable business. If you're doing this for much less than this by the time you near 30 you must really love this sht.https://twitter.com/jgreco/status/1436094244628934657 …

(Also Jim I knew people earning well and getting CFAs or Masters including one outlier dude that is now a billionaire options trader, I'm sure you know him...tbf traders always feel the end of their career breathing down their neck)

Yes trading options. Saw around every corner how the biz would evolve, dominates niches, world class intuition, ruthless. Deeply understands what a casino is and how to read counterparties. He was in my cohort. You knew from the first week he was eventually everyone's boss

The equivalent of "built different" in athletes but for trading. But I warn, ruthless. Almost certainly missing a chip

But was he doing more business evaluation and then just using options as leverage? OR some kind of mathematical mis-pricing as a frequent option or volatility trader?

Purest option trader I've ever seen. I remember a world class gambler (one of these no college savants who got into this biz in his 30s) said after knowing the man in question for years..."he would have been the best poker player in the world if he wanted to be"

He's had massive success in RE as well, wheeling/dealing. Know of a few option traders who found option opportunities in RE that were mispriced. There was a semi-famous story in Chicago that you can hunt for online. On a long enough timeline all option traders end up in RE

Well if you ever do a weekly letter on him, let me know. Seems an interesting story. Have a great weekend.

Never will. He stays out of limelight (but is well known in equity options world). Maybe
@HideNotSlide will put it together though!3 replies 0 retweets 4 likes
