This doesn't even consider the fix infrastructure in place which is already supporting sub milli speeds so speed is not really factor. Regardless fun to watch evolve!

This largely depends on how high the sustained money burn by global retail trading community can get. If you get to, say, 50 bln a year, you can pump any kind of "revolutionary" project with the right marketing
