Reading through an active NFT Discord group has taught me a lot about the meme stonk mentality. Everyone in the group is working towards the same goal & has skin in the game, celebrating & works through problems together. I can see how attractive something like that can be.
Obviously not every group is like this, but if I'm a millennial in full/semi lockdown with no job, joining a fun, like minded, meme-heavy group & rooting for the same market outcome as them may be the only exciting thing available.
