$MSCI CEO Henry Fernandez when asked about the estimated TAM for ESG benchmarking:
"I think ultimately, there won't be any such thing as ESG investing."
If every investment is an ESG investment, nothing is.
But it does mean a big ESG index TAM...

I think the message he's trying to convey is that every company will be concerned about how they look ESG-wise... and MSCI will be more than happy to provide a rating for that. This is regardless of whether ESG indices become a thing.
