I used both and got exact same latencies. Tuned/warmed up Java is just as fast, and can be just as consistent/predictable.

As a pro-Java guy I will argue that Java is worth the trade-off for most trades. But it’s not just as fast. You’re still paying a 100 ns penalty going into and out of the JVM.
