On a serious note, this could be structured as a fun gift given to the listed company when they IPO. If the NYSE is planning to auction these for profit that seems a bit self-serving. Who "owns" a stock's first trade?

Yeah, it makes sense. I guess this could be considered a new form of packaging & selling a stock's underlying market data like they would normally do
