Seems a bit strange to see
$VIRT outperforming as VIX is sub 20 and as retail trading appears to be waning
I have a few hypotheses for this: - trading volumes are slowing down but still well above historical avg - VIX futures curve pointed upward = market expects more vol is coming - VIRT has done a ton of buybacks recently = higher EPS

Haven’t looked at their buy backs. Thought were still paying down debt. In any case, I had been a large holder and dumped 80% of mine around $32

Number one correlation is trading volumes, which could stay higher for a while with zero commissions, work from home, more online on-ramps, etc. But VIX is still a big number two correlation as it impacts spreads, both per book and between related products.
