I don’t understand how they can claim this retail participation is going to be a long secular upswing. What has happened during Covid is, in my mind, cannot be 100% extrapolated and the market has gone straight up...

We're not going to see participation grow forever, we'll likely reach a plateau at some point, but that plateau will be much higher than pre-COVID levels and I don't think the market has fully appreciated this fact yet.
