Maybe they don't rate MSCI and SPGI because of significant commercial relationships? IBs are big CapIQ customers and also MSCI risk analytics (Barra, etc.)

They don't rate them due to the significant relationships they often have with those companies.

Seems like an opportunity to give under-represented voices more influence over those stocks. ie smaller shops random CNBC pundits even FinTwit
