1) company guidance is 6-7% for the data biz not incl exchange, which is a big diff; 2) I view the stock on FCF yield which is more compelling; 3) Company has been dependent on M&A but there isnt anything to buy, tho risk of silly ebay like deal off the table. 4) rather own LSE

Tbf, I always assumed it couldn't work for them from a reg perspective (too much concentr in US equities), but they could always get creative

As NoonSixCap says, CME doesn't want to get into the cash equities space. The NEX deal locked them into rates & futures. There would also be antitrust issues with CME owning SPX futures & options under 1 roof

Ehhh, gun to my head, I think they'll eventually take a shot - but could be awhile. This is a space with a history of creativity in big deal structures
