CME reports earnings tomorrow morning (7/29). What I'll be looking for: ① updates to expense guidance w/COVID continuing and Q1 better than consensus ② Volume/RPC expectations for micro e-mini options ③ macro updates in WTI, bitcoin, and interest rates

Interesting to note that EPS estimates have come down to pre-COVID levels despite huge volumes in Q1. Analysts are pricing in a bleak 2H for CME:pic.twitter.com/MHH6B135ei

Because rates are zero. Everyone thinks volumes crater in rates like it did post GFC.

True. Just crazy to think they could give all the volatility of Q1 back and have estimates be as if it never happened.
