Positive news for veterans 👉🏼 Southwest Washington veterans have earned and were promised quality medical care, which is why I’ve been advocating for the deployment of a VA Mobile Medical Unit which made its first visit to Chehalis today.

Devastating news - my friend and colleague Rep. Jackie Walorski has been killed in a car accident. My heart breaks for Jackie’s husband, Dean, and for her entire team. There are no words to express my shock and sadness at this loss. This is truly terrible.

As one of the Code Talkers w/U.S. Marine Corps, Sandoval helped send thousands of messages based on the Navajo’s native language that helped the U.S. win the war. He and all the other brave members of our military who served & sacrificed for our nation will never be forgotten.

With crime rising, it’s vital we support our local police forces to meet the challenge. I’m pleased my effort to equip Long Beach police officers with body cameras has been a success so far & I’ll continue pressing until we get it across the finish line.

Seniors who have spent their entire lives paying into Social Security deserve responsive service from the Social Security Administration, which means they need their local SS office open & fully staffed. Yet some SS offices are closed or still limited in in-person service. (1/2)

Captain William Clark Regional Park is CLOSED. The water has reached the steps of the trailhead. There are many downed trees in the forested areas near both Blue Rock and William Clark. DO NOT attempt to go into these areas until crews are able to assess and cleanup.

78 years ago today, thousands of Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy and began the march across Europe to end World War II. Today, we take a moment to honor and remember those patriots who courageously stood up to end tyranny and protect freedom around the world.
