    New species of one of the most interesting gymnophthalmid lizards, the semiaquatic Neusticurus. This species has been confused with Neusticurus rudis (we actually have known about this taxon for a while)

    The Ailao Moustache (Leptobrachium ailaonicum) has a 'moustache' of hard, conical spines. Males use them in combat with other males of their own species in defending breeding sites.

    I took advantage of some TV down-time this weekend to multi-task by helping Fitch . I annotated images (reduced the non-herp portion) at . Every annotated image helps Fitch learn faster and more preceisely.
