On Wed 11/10, District 11 Democrat Club voted to oppose the recall of DA @ChesaBoudin .
Rather than tout Boudin’s accomplishments (there’s none), the club asserts “Once you open that door [to recalls], all valid elections are now subject to recall.”

Then organize a party. I don't think of SF as a one party. I think of it as a battle ground between progressives and centrists with a bunch of libertarian millionaires throwing money around to get their way.

We tried the SF Green Party in the 2000s. Dems organized to extinguish the Greens after we almost clipped Newsom's career in 2003. Greens got to level 2 before being squashed. No other party has.

I've been registered green in SF since the early 90s and have always been amazed at how little outreach the party has made to me. On me for not getting involved - yes. On them for not trying to recruit me. But generally agree with your take here.

SF's politics involve the hooking up for-profit and non-profit private corporations to public revenue streams and entitlements. That's how government rolls in neoliberal capitalism. The only quibble is over who gets paid.

Agree. Our politics is broken. We incentivize power over governance. Problem across all democracies.
